FOLLOWING A SHORT SUMMER BREAK
The Wedge showed a definite return to the well known form, famed for the carnage which she normally creates. She demonstrated that there is life in her yet. Following a quiet, slow summer, Labor Day saw her putting more effort into the waves and a return to the heavy water and awesome waves which she is well known for. The Wedge is located at the extreme eastern edge of Newport Beach, California.
Some surfers were totally caught unaware by the sudden surge in power in the waves and a number of wipeouts were experienced.
Watch the great Labor day action and enjoy The Wedge coming back to life.
