Huntington closed for surfing

Lifeguards at Huntington Beach in California ordered all surfers and swimmers out of the water, after an incident of an aggressive shark measuring bumping a surfer. The waters were to stay closed until early on July 11, so that the waters could be checked.
The incident was reported by the surfer who felt the bump on the underside of his surfboard. He immediately stopped surfing and paddled to shore to notify the lifeguards. The shark was estimated to be between 5 and 8 yards long.
The authorities took this action because this type of bumping by sharks is considered aggressive. Beach goers were still allowed on the beach
